Can anybody beat this record?

Last night I was cleaning out some old files at home and I came across the receipt for my boat dated 8/13/1982.

Single owner for 22 years this coming Friday.

1982 Mastercraft Skier, Powerslot, Deluxe Package, Trailer and cover. $12,000.00 out the door.

The boat is still in great shape. Although I have been tempted a couple of times to update to a newer boat, common sense kicked in and I realized this one will do just fine for now.

Has anybody out there owned the same boat longer?

Funny thing is if it's in really great shape you could probably almost get what you paid for it. Talk about holding value.

I can't beat your record but I've had my '83 since '84 and still have the original receipt. It came to about $17,000 for a Powerslot deluxe. What a difference a year makes!

Terry,
Do you have a picture of yours?

If I remember right, I paid dealer cost, or at least close to it. I knew the dealer and he had a lot thatwas full of boats and he was making some good deals. He was selling both MasterCraft and CC.
I test drove and skied behind both and the choice was a no brainer. The 82 CC's had a huge wake! and was ugly to boot.
The price of the MasterCraft was 12K and the CC was 13K.

In 83 I considered trading on another MasterCraft with the 454/425 HP Powerslot option. Commen sense kicked in and I kept the 351/240 HP.

The Deluxe Package included padded motor box, coaming pads, a rear seat and either the blue/blue or gold/gold color scheme.

Other than the color schemes, I believe the other features were standard for the 83, 84 and 85.

I found an old price list......

My 23 year old son is now the captain, I gave him the boat for his 21st brithday, but he lets me drive most of the time.....
