1997 205 w/350L EFI - Fuel Problem

It's time to get the boat in the water but It won't run. I started it and ran it to warm up the engine. After shutting it down to check the fluid levels it started back up but only ran for 10 seconds then shut off. Now won't restart. I suspected fuel problems. The tank was only 1/4 full. I've checked the lines up to the pump and all seems to be clear. I removed the filter at the engine and turned the key. I could hear the pump whine but no fuel. Shouldn't the fuel come pouring out? I understand there's a pump relay. Anyone know where it's located? If the pump whines, does that mean the electrical is okay? Any other suggestions?

Hoping to make it to the river next weekend.

Not restarting

I had a similar problem last year. Kept thinking it was fuel pump related. I took it to the dealer who plugged in & read the engine codes. I had a bad ECM. Went out just like that. Once it was replaced, everything has worked correctly. Paul Greensboro, NC
