They have had jet drive lower units on outboards for a long time. Great for shallow water running.

Salt and jets are never an incredible idea, unless they are built for the environment and are truly "commercial grade". This thing looks pretty cool though! I can see alot of guys embracing it, if they want to run shallow water, but do not want to have an ugly aluminum jetboat to do it!

I was checking them out and it looks like they are the same 5.7 Vortec 300hp engine that's in mine http://www.nemarinepower.com/Engines.html
