ProSport 205 vs. Prostar 205?

Since my 88 TriStar was crushed by a tree, I'm back in the market. I'm going to look at a 1992 ProSport 205 on Saturday. A couple of questions - other than the swivel observer seat, what are the differences with the Prostar? Hull? Is the engine still a Carburated 351 or something different?

In general - other than the basics (I owned and worked on the TriStar for 6 years) what should I look for? Thanks.

Would that Prosport by change be in Roswell?

Other than the bucket seat and lack of covered storage, it's the same as the 205. However, according to the literature, the Pro Sport is 100 lbs heavier. Engine options should be the same across the models.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. In the manual, it's listed as 100 lbs heavier and, because it did not have a rear facing observer seat, was never AWSA approved.

Isn't the upholstery a little less... fancy? Flat one colour cushions instead of 2-tone with roles? One colour gelcoat? IIRC it was MC's less expensive option. I could be wrong, tho'.

If I remember the one I looked at, it seemed to be decked out a little less expensive. Other than a few less fancy features, it's the same hull.
