Question Hyperlite "State" Wakeboard

Just bought a new Hyperlite "State" Wakeboard for my 17 year old 160 pound son at the Seattle Boat show this last weekend. It is a size 140. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this board? Bought it from Wiley's for $319 with bindings. The rep was there and talked it up and explained how it is supposed to help your toeside, etc. He has been using a Hyperlite "motiv" size 134.
Is this a worthwhile step up in board performance?

Well I've never rode that board but have rode other hyperlites and they ride very nice...in fact the first board I ever got up on was a Hyperlite Belmont 136. But it was deffinetly time for an upgrade since a 134 is rather small for him. Im 16 yo 210 (starting my diet)haha and I ride a Ronix Vault 144. He should notice that the landings are softer since there is more board under his feet to land on.

I weigh 160 and really like my State 135 ... I'm sure the 140 will be fine.

The State's a great board, it's got a larger toeside built in fin, so you've got a harder bite on the edge!! It's a great step up for a beginner, and it'll help you progress a whole lot faster!!

I just ordered four of them!! The dealer said it is a good board that crosses the lines from begginner to expert. In other words you probably bought a board that you can use for a long time!!
