Prop Questions.

So, all my prop experience is with o/d's and not sure the differences in pitch/diameter with the direct drive props, and what I can expect from this OJ 13 prop I picked up today? My boat has the original 4 blade stock prop now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated on this and the install, thanks.

Your new prop looks like it is the same pitch and diameter as the old. How come you want to change it?

Need LT-1 parts?
OIL FILTER: Factory installed is a Penzoil P23, Afta market brands, AC Delco PF-454 and a Fram PH-13 or PH-30 will work.
SPARK PLUGS: AC Delco MR43LTS (gapped to .040")
FUEL FILTERS: AC Delco 25171391 (pump inlet side)
89058397 (pump outlet side)
IGNITION WIRES: Call Inboard Online @ (877) 327-7175 and order part numbers 556010A (odd bank) and 556010B (even bank)

I needed a just in case prop and this set up only cost $60 with prop, wrench and new nut & key and there was a brand new impeller in the box too. So I couldn't pass it up even if it didn't fit I would have bought it for that price (the guy was desperate) So this prop does appear to be a little bigger with a different pitch/cup and it says 13 on the oj. It's definetly different the blades on the stock one seem a little smaller.

So, the guy was desperate, eh? Did he try to sell you his crack pipe too, if he let you have all that for $60?

That was my first thought too but it came from an estate sale and it's obvious they mis-priced this item So I'm checking my manual and it says apply "prussian blue" and if less than 60% contact use lapping compound then remove it with solvent? Not sure I'm getting this what's the blue stuff and what's the lapping compound do if I need to put it on then remove it?
You mean I can't just grease the shaft and switch out props? and go!

Applying Prussian Blue" (similar to a dye) to the shaft and it dyes the shaft blue, then the prop is spun on the propshaft w/o the key in place and the blue tint is wore away showing the contact of the prop to the shaft. You sand down the shaft in the remaining blue tinted area with emory cloth or use valve grinding compound to match and mate the 2 surfaces of the prop and shaft completely, clean it all up with solvent and install the prop for use. Most people never go to the trouble and now with the new splined props and shafts there is no need to do it. BTW, there is a section in most all owners manuals explaining the process in the prop removal/replacement section as you said.
