Maintaince Manual

I am looking for a maintaince manual for a 1988 Tristar or Prostar with the 351W engine 1:1 trasmission. Any of the years with this combination should work. Any help would be appreciated. Tks in advance.

If you e-mail Mastercraft, they will send you a copy.
It takes a little while, but they will do it. for free.

When did MC switch engine manufacturers? If it was PCM during that time, you can download from the internet from other sites.

I think 88 is Indmar, but I can't remember. Does Indmar have downloadable maintenance guides at all?

Martini-I can't figure out which I like more, your name or your aviator. What is your flavor?

Well, the name is a bit of a misnomer. It was my nickname in high school, Martin as a last name. They had to spice it up a bit I guess. It has stuck into adulthood, I'm now 31. But if I had to choose, it would be a dirty martini, shaken for sure. Well, if it had been a PCM I could have helped a little more. Calling Mastercraft or contacting Indmar will be your best bet at this point. Sorry couldn't help more.

If you are looking for a good engine maintenance manual I am not sure you will get it from Mastercraft. I posted this awhile back on another thread...

The engine manual that I received from Mastercraft for my 87 Prostar with Indmar engine is from Ford Power Prdocts and is titled as a Service Manual... Industrial and Marine Engines for the engines: CSG-850 (302 CID) and WSG-858 (351 CID) and is dated Oct 1988. The document number is 194-209 and on the inside cover is the address:

Ford Motor Company
Power Products Division
19855 W. Outer Drive
Dearborn, MI 48124

As I said this was about 3/4 inch thick.

And OBTW... it looks exactly like the one on ebay at:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...ssPageName=WDVW

It is a good manual that has all the information about ignition, carburetor, and other interesting specifications along with the heavy duty engine rebuild stuff that is beyond my capability.

Lance
