ESPN Hot Summer Nights

Do you older guys remember the ESPN "Hot Summer Nights" shows back in the 80s? It's a shame they don't do that anymore.

Back in the days when ESPN showed a lot of cool off-beat sports and MTV actually played music.

I remember when ESPN had that show. About the only place to catch any type of skiing back then. Thank god for Fuel TV !!!

And MTV sucks, it is a reality show/drama network now.

I remember sitting in a great bar in Canada back in 91. Watched Hank Amos try a one ski double gainer off the jump! Tip in and wow did he get smoked!!!!

Those were the days! I wish they still had it on ESPN as I remember it. Andy Maple was in his prime then. Sure aren't many channels that offer H20 skiing that I know of or can get.

Versus played an episode about Wakestock last week and it featured a segment about the slalom part of the event.

Not only do I remember it but I have a bunch of them recorded on VHS.

Yeah, my wife and I were dating back then, her parents had cable and mine didn't so I spent those evenings at her place. (finished basement with a sofa and a blanket.........ahh those were fun times )
