Barefoot boom length?

I'm in the process of making a DIY boom and wondered what the length should be.

I have the bracket to clamp round the centre pole and some length of 2" aluminium pole so I just need to fabricate it now.

When you get it done or along the way, take pics and post them here. I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Not sure on the length.

If I had to guess, Id say 9-10' overall length. The 2 pieces of my BI are ~4' and 6', Id say. Dont quote me though- Im going from memory.
