Ipod connector for Clarion

Where's the best place to get one? I have an "05 X-star with the factory Clarion head unit. Hopefully this unit will accept an I-POD connector.

Crutchfield has all that stuff. The actual model depends on what model head unit you have, and whether you want something cheap and simple like an RCA cable that goes from AUX to earphone, AUX to line-in on the iPod (through the dock connector), or an adapter that actually interfaces with the iPod to allow controlling it from the head unit/remote.

Your Clarion radio should have an AUX input

I got my interface for my CMD5 from hookedontronics.com. It was $10 less than crutchfield... not a big difference, just a couple extra gallons of gas! http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_....jsp?cid=19267

I am pretty sure you cannot interface the CMD4. You can through the AUX but you cannot control through the deck.

All it needs for head unit control is a CeNet interface, which the CMD4A has.

CMD4A was middle late 06 I believe. My early 06 still has the CMD4.

CMD4 had a CeNET interface too. The appropriate iPod interface adapter for that is the Clarion EA1251B. IIRC, that adapter works for any CeNET compatible Clarion head unit after 2001.
