ski snapped!!!

We skied yesterday and David couldn't figure out why his ski wasn't reacting. He got down right PO'd. Looked at his ski when he took it off and what-do-ya-know...the thing snapped in half! This wouldn't be the first of it's kind either. The D3's that are about 2 years old are having this problem. It is the 5th one in our area to snap in the same place. So, if you have a D3, watch for a crack developing near your front and rear bindings. Inspect it before you leave the dock or swimstep.

That's no fun. Any chance D3 will replace it, or is it a year out of warranty?

Do you not sleep? This was posted rather early!

Good thing it didn't snap right behind the boat when you're pulling hard, that could have been nasty...

I've seen a few do this, which is the same thing my Goode did.

It was the X5. I have one too and I guess it will be a matter of time before mine goes too. I am surprised to hear that the Goode did the same thing.

As for sleep...for some reason, I was awake very early this morning and felt the need to get up and GO!

My Goode did that, too. Same thing - started skiing horribly, got back to the dock, and saw a big crack between the bindings. Carbon skis seem to have this problem.
