Best prop for an X2

I'd like to know what people's opinions are for the best prop for my '07 X2 with MCX. The boat has a OJ XMP 13.7 x 17 on it right now and I'm running factory ballast. Some other threads have mentioned the XMP edge 14.25 x 14 as the best one. Anyone have experience with how the 14.25 would affect surf wake, hole shot, top speed, or anything else... Thanks!

Pm Eric, EJ OJ Props and talk to him or he may see this and reply.

I've got one I'll sell you real cheap...

No really, this WAS the OJ XMP Edge. I have the ACME 1285 also (which is a similar prop) and I honestly like the Edge a little better. Not quite as much hole shot, but a smoother pull and a few extra mph on the top end.

I'm pretty sure OJ is putting the XMP Edge 14.25x14.5 on that boat right now and the 14.25x14 on the Xstar. Call Eric at OJ to be sure, but I think the 14.25x14.5 will give you what you are looking for with the least amount of rpm increase.

Dj, that is a sweet custom 3 blade prop ...What is the story behind that?

Yes they are putting the XMP Edge 14.25 x 14.5 on all new X2's now as standard equipment. I have it and it is an awesome prop. It was designed for the holeshot for wakeboarding, and surfing. I get 46-47 WOT at 5100 RPM. It also comes out of the hole like a screaming banshee. I highly recommend it.

I have them both, the acme has a better hole shot. Both good props, but I like the Acme the best, a mile or two less on the top end. But I think 42 mph is as fast as I need to go. The acme will rip your arms out on a start up with a lot or weight in the boat.
