Bimini's

Just got an 07 X2 that came W/O a bimini, The boat is a slider in turn bouy orange and white. My dealer asked me what color I wanted, well of course my 1st choice was orange!! but they don't make it in orange!! So my only other choice is white!! They just called me to tell me it's in but it's not pure white it's a linen color??? Why don't they make the tops to match the color of the boat ?? Or at least make the white the same color as the white on the boat?????

These are supposed to be the BMW of boats you would think they would go that extra little bit to make it right and not just "close enough"??

Unfortunately MC only makes them in a few basic colors. I say get your money back and order a custom bimini from www.johnsonbimini.com or www.towerbiminis.com Sunbrella makes an orange fabric if that is what you really want.

I know this doesn't help much, but they used to do white.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

Ok so I understand your frustration However MasterCraft dose not make the Bimini's. They are contracted out. The Co I think is Apex and that Co only offers a few colors.

Thanks for the heads up, this comes down to the same thing every time , the dealer will get stuck with the top. As a former dealer I know how the parent company can leave you out to dry. I used to race at Roger Penskes Track and got to know him , I hope now that he is in control that Mastercraft can live up to the HIGH expections they set!!!!

I don't mean to be a cry baby , and I know it would be hard to match every color but come on WHITE???????

Hmmmmmmm...... Looks like white and orange are the way to go. If I were in your shoes, I would do what Brian said and hit up TowerBiminis.com. I would do something like the attached file.

Thats my boat, white and orange, The cover is black and I guess if I had to I could use black. The service MGR emailed me a picture of the top and it's tan for sure. I asked if they come in grey? anyone know?

Right now I'm not in love with tan , I don't want to be a pain in the A$$ but when they asked me what color I wanted I said orange , no Orange then it came down to Black or white , but the white is tan????

If I knew what I know now I would have gone black, don't get me wrong Sterling marine has been great and I don't want to stick them with a tan bimini !! But I don't want it either
