Question EVO vs. 19 skier

What is going to be any advantage or disadvantage to buying a 2002 or 2003 19 skier verses an EVO,for skiing???That is all the boat will be used for, shortline skiing, will there be more spray with the 19??will there be a noticable differance in the wake,I realize the 19 will be a smaller boat but how about the skiing,is the quality there at a bargain price or bite the bullet for a 190????
thanks in advance........

The 19skier is based off the 1995-1997 ProStar 190 hull.

I thought very highly of the wake on my 1995 190. No spray issues and the wake at 34 and 36 was REALLY good.

Also, the EVO hulls have the rear storage locker that the 19skiers lack.

The 95-97 hull was a very well accepted hull.

Yes it was a good hull. The wake wasn't as good as the 92-94 hulls but the spray issues noted in that hull isn't an issue on the 95-97 hull. If your shortline skiing you'll like the lack of spray. Either one I think you'd like (EVO or Skier 19) they both make great slalom boats.

If you could find a 1994 ProTour 190, that would be the best boat for you. ETS says it has a spray modification for shorter line lengths. But it would be my guess that the 95+ hulls will track better.
