Need some help with a 2005 197 TT

At the beginning of the summer, I bought a used 2005 197 TT. We have loved it. It is a great boat. I have three questions that I could use some help with. I realize these are probably stupid questions, but I am new to all of this.

1. The boat has PerfectPass. The right speedometer is the PerfectPass control. The left speedometer is a typical speedometer with a needle (not digital). The left speedometer is not working. Nor is the PerfectPass itself working. The left speedometer lights up when I run my lights at night. And the PerfectPass speedometer digitally displays my speed and my RPM with no problem. And the tach is working fine. Any thoughts about why the non-digital speedometer (left one) isn't working and the PerfectPass itself isn't working?

2. The MTS ballast isn't working. It is about half full at the moment, but it will not empty or fill. The rocker switch doesn't light up when I push it to "fill" or "empty". Maybe a fuse? I looked at the fuse box and didn't see one labeled "ballast". Any thoughts?

3. Yesterday, I lost my "e" from the "Tournament Team" graphics on the side of the boat. I have no idea how that happened. We really baby the boat. I know I didn't hit anything. Anyway, the "e" is attached to the "T" in "Team" so, technically, I need a "Te" graphic. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide!

welcome! I love the look of the 05tt boats!

if neither the speedo or the pp is reading speed, then I'd check out the paddlewheel first... see if it's clogged or maybe even replace it.

if you cannot find fuse problems with the mts, then it may simply be the ballast pump itself, but that does not explain the rocker not lighting..

your dealer (or a few good dealers here) can get you those decals for sure but I bet they aint cheap!

oh and I assume that perfect pass has been installed on the boat since it was new? there was a reflash that your shop had to do back then if you installed perfect pass yourself

Is your boat the one in your avatar? If so it's a 2006. Good advice for your issues above from Ric. Oh and welcome to the site.

It is the only one made that year (2005) in that red and white color scheme.

Thanks Ric. The PerfectPass was factory installed as far as I know. And just in case I have confused everyone, the PerfectPass read-out does display my speed and my RPM in digital form. That works fine. But the PerfectPass itself does not hold my speed constants and the non-digital speedometer (left one) does not work.

'05 was black and white. I am absolutely positive of this as it is my favorite TT boat ever. '06 was the peppermint pattie red and white.

But as I am reading this I think jclarke he is saying that it is the only '05 made in the red and white scheme. I do think I remember reading somewhere that they do make one TT boat every year in the next years colors. If thats the case that is awsome to have a very unique one of a kind boat.
