Strange as it may seem, no matter what the weather, our ice usually goes out around the third week in April. With the dark tannin in our system, it absorbs heat a little quicker. The water is clear, just darker.

Snowing again today but near twenty out . We have so much snow now that the animals are starting to starve . I am feeding seven deer in my yard and they have the lakeshore heavily browsed down . Lived here 51 years and I am so sick of winter this year
