Something tells me that there is at least one Minnesota resident who does not agree with the statement in the article that says "The hearty locals donít seem to mind the last gasp of winter"

Where is that? I was under the impression that we have some ways to go yet. A neighbor called and said we still have 20 or more inches of ice and about 6" of snow in the woods. That's the Three Lakes area. I like your report better.

So, is that a river? That would make sense. Ice should go out sooner because of current.

Nope, it is a lake. It is a smaller lake kind of shaped like a long neck beer bottle. Awesome ski and tow boating lake. She took the pic from the shore so that is why it looks kind of like a river.
