Make Your Own MC Ad

I had this idea about a contest among folks posting on here. The premise would be creating your own ad for MC boats. Each person could post a picture with a caption to go along with it (e.g., "Keep Feeling the Pull", "The Leader and Pulling Farther Ahead", etc.). Someone would have to draft a set of rules, then we could set a deadline for entering. After all entries were posted we would vote to see who's ad was the best. Anyone interested? Which rules would be needed?

I like it! I suggest the rules should be simple, family viewable and complimentary to MC boats (at least not derogatory).

From there I would say pictures, flash, video, crayons, Adobe, any media goes.

I do, I'm not very good, but i can do a few things. Don't get a lot of time to mess with it though, i'd rather be out on my boat.

Great idea....I'll administer it (if you want me to), set up the poll system to vote on the winner, and provide some prizes for the top 3. We need a set of rules, a deadline, and how long we can vote on the winner....

I'm in, for the fun. But I think, if you want to vote, you have to play!

I'd love to participate, but I'll have to get my wife to sign a waiver. You see, I've already made a 30 second commercial that I put on some home video ski footage. It's a spoof of those MasterCard commercials. Here's the jist of it.

Background Music: Iggy Pop's Lust for Life.
Picture of boat (Caption: "Used Competition towboat $15,000."

Video footage of wife on platform putting on ski (Caption "New ski: $399")

Slow motion Video footage of wife pulling across the wake, losing her balance, falling backwards, wiping out hard and getting a lake enima. (Caption: "Caddo Enima ..."

Fast Wipe to black screen. (Title: "Priceless")

Dissolve to Picture of Rear of a MasterCraft (Caption: "There are some things in life money just can't buy. For everything else there's"

Caption appears above the lettering on the back of the Boat reading "MasterCraft World Record Ski Boats"

FAQ

Tyler Ski Club

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

TTAdmin, you're the man. I say we shoot for 8/27 as deadline for posting and use Leroy's suggestion for rules. I like Doug's idea of using another company's slogan and modifying it for MC, but it should be up to each person to decide what they want to do. I've seen the creativity of the folks on this board, so this should really be interesting.

Now, as my luck usually runs, I'll probably be the only one who can't come up with an idea.
