Now what?

was taking my bottom bench seat pad apart getting ready to ship to "Jim the upholstery guy" and found this

the rest of the picsare here http://milkmania.info/upholstery/thumb.html

I spoke to Jim, andhe said to just replace it with 2 stacked 3/4 inch pieces of plywood.

Also, He's going to ship me a couple pieces of vinyl for my embroidery lady to stitch MASTERCRAFT into, for the seat back...
then I'll mail it back to him, and he'll add it into the installation

there is a bunch of wood!
I'll get some pics up soon

some of the wood is structural, and some is nailing strips for the staples

How is the embroidery going to work? I suppose they put the logo on before they staple the skin? I picked up factory skins for BIG bucks and they had no logo or hot pressed logos like the originals. Sucks.
Glad things are working out for you...
You may want to consider new foam to, if I did it all over I would have replaced more foam as it really breaks down. I dont think I how bad it was until I felt the same density stuff that was new.
Good luck=

He said he's replacing the wood with plastic... something soft enough for staples

and he's hot gluing it in.

the vinyl on the rear bench is made up of several different sections...
the center (with the embroidery) drops down over the top in a wide \__/ shape.

Jim is going to send me enough material to embroider, I'll have it embroidered, and mail it back to him...

he'll then stitch it in when he's building the skins

it'll probably ship in a large manila envelope.
