Thanks!! I love that picture, because it's my 3 of my favorite things, in order: My husband, our boat & our truck. Isn't he good to me?

The truck we purchased used last summer & is the product of many months of looking for the right deal. It was well worth the effort, though, pulls like a dream & it's a diesel, so it should last longer than we do. With any luck, we will not be truck shopping again for many, many years!

I haven't bought one yet........I'm just disappointed with what's out there. I'm happy as hell with my Silverado........my only regret with Chevy is the cheap, and over 6 year old interior design. My little 4.8 L 4X4 has clocked over 110,000 trouble free miles...... gets 16 MPG around town ( try and get that with a Dodge Ram) and 12 MPG pulling the Mastercraft at an average of 75 MPH. I'd buy another Chevy in a heart beat, but I hate the new front end styling and the out dated interior.

Wait until '07. Ford, Chevy and Toyota are all redesigning their Full-Size SUV's. I bet Chevy will add a new truck that year as well. Ford is getting rid of the Excursion and opting for an Expedition and Expedition XL like the GM's. I plan on keeping my Toyota until then when I can take my pick of the litter.

On the note of the F350, it is a bit overkill & would rather have a 250, hoping for a smoother ride. However, I wanted the old bodystyle & the 8' bed, which put me in the the 350 category. 10+ years from now, I'll be looking for a 2006ish F250 of the same setup. We do use the 4 doors & 8' bed, but rarely use the GVW values.... I do know that a few thousand pounds in the bed really makes it ride smooth, and doen't seem to make the motor think anything is different.

I'll be looking for a truck at the end of this year. I like the Fords. Have you guys seen the King Ranch edition trucks? My friend has one and that interior is pretty sweet. I really like the F-250 but other that towing the boat, my ATV trailer, and odds and ends I'm not sure I need a truck that big, that eats that much gas. The F-150 maybe fits me better but I do like the looks of the F-250. I want a 4 door, 4x4 and I think I like gas over diesel. Any thoughts...?

With the cost of diesel now, I would have to stay with gas. I would like to have a F250 w/ the powerstroke diesel, but I will wait until we upgrade the camper in about 5 yrs.
