Roof rafters are 2x6's at 16"oc and the ceiling joists are 2x10's doubled up at 16"oc. The earthquake and static load calcs for a 20'x23' garage were nuts. I could probably hoist the boat from the ceiling if I wanted.

Here is mine - garage is 24x25 and has an 18x10 spot perfect for the boat. Wife likes the house I like the garage. We both win!

First garage pic I've seen with a personal fire truck!
(something that would have come in handy a couple times over the years!)

My buddies airplane hanger is our ultimate garage. Toys toys toys, and includes a fully furnished recording studio as well. This was taken after our boats were in the water for the summer.
