Moments before Oh Shizzit!

One of a few back flip attempts, this one caught on camera. The landing was painful but on my feet then my head then my back etc etc.

I'm REally hoping to do a backflip one day. I just go the HS 180. After I can do the 360 -- Then I'll give the flip a try. Hope you guys master it!

I was told 360 is harder than a tantrum, im closer to a 360. I either get the handle pass or the landing, but never both.

I think its time for a trampoline in the backyard.

I have the exact pictures from when I was learning the HS Backroll...took two seasons to get it. More of a fear thing than anything, after a rough fall. I took a board in the face a month ago and walked away with four stitches above my lip. I have almost decided to stop trying new tricks...my face is my livelihood, ha-ha.

I agree fear is more the factor than ability. I have lots of shots that look similar from attempting back rolls and tantrums. The guys I ride with can do frontside, healside 360's and land them. My hubby is landing about half of his attempts at backside, healside 360's. Neither of them can land any inverts, mostly because they are chicken to try and they say the crashes hurt!! Me I still can't clear the wake!! Once I get that figured out watch out here I come.

I'm just the opposite. I can consistently land a tantrum and a backroll but am hesitant to learn spin tricks. After a broken ear drum due to a hard fall, it's a little scary for me to turn my back to the boat. I guess I will have to suck it up and learn it soon though.
