I re-worked my teak platform last winter and it already was fading bad by the end of this summer. Did I not sand it well enough, or maybe not enough coats of starbrite, or was I maybe supposed to put a sealer on it? Anything would help. Thanks!

Well.... You guys were making me feel left out, so I had to go and buy a new platform so I could fit in. Here is my $100 teak... Thanks Again, Betsy & David!
Here it is today after an hour with the belt sander, random orbital and finally the router to clean up the edges. So far I have got one coat of oil and have been chasing the afternoon sun trying to get it to dry. Bottom holes have been plugged and the handles have been "customized" to allow for you to actually grab the platform with them. |

If you look at this picture, you will notice that the handles have a block of teak covering them that only allow you to grip the platform with your finger tips. All I did was remove the teak block... more or less just a little joke.
