Mastercraft decals falling off
Is anyone else having issues with their Mastercraft decals falling off their boats? I have an '04 X9 and I've lost one letter on each side already.

I have had the same problem with my 03 197.
MasterCraft is not prepping the surface for the stickers well enough before they put them on. I had my dealer replace all of mine. No problems now ![]() Last edited by TomL; 08-03-2004 at 10:17 PM. |

I am losing letters on both sides of my 04 X2. Dealer ordered new stickers and they should be here soon.

No problems with my '03 209. In fact my son tried to scrap them off with the side of the dock and they still stayed on

I had the same problem with my 04 205v. The dealer ordered me all new stickers and have not had a problem since then.

My dealer has ordered new stickers for me as well. Hopefully that solves the issue. All things considered, if this is the worst problem I have with the boat, life isn't too bad!

On vacation, I must have seen a dozen newer MasterCraft, including several '04's ALL with letters missing. Most severe was where the letters were on darker gelcoat. The sun heats the gelcoat, softens the glue on the letters, and 'presto', you're a proud owner of a " aster ra "

Or just peel them all off for the clean look.

They think it's an I/O don't give the time of day, then find out it's an MC & do an about face. I can't tell you how many times that has happened.
