Which Prop for LT1??????

Hi,

I have a 1996 205 Sammy Duvall with the LT1 engine. At the moment it has what seems to be the original 3 blade prop.

My current prop does have a tiny dint in it and I am considering getting a new one. Does anybody have any recommedations on what I should get. Are their better aftermarket ones? I have seen a 4 blade MC prop is this better? I am using the boat for wake boarding so I want the best wake possible.

Thanks

Dave

Must admit Im not 100% sure. I bought the boat a few weeks ago and it came with a manual for Guthz transmission. (I may have spelt that wrong I m at work at the moment). Does that help? If not whats the easiest way of telling?

Cheers
Dave

It should be a Hurth transmission. Probably the easiest way to tell is by what size prop is currently on it. If it is a 13x13 or similar it is a 1:1 if it is 14x18 or similar it is a Powerslot. The prop size will be stamped on the hub of the prop. Or take a look at the transmission. There is a plate on it that will say 1:1 or 1.5:1.
