I like the sport bikes but i dont like all the gear you have to wear. Way to hot in Texas for leathers.

Not while you're moving and sweating is much more comfortable than having a pissed-off ER room Nurse scrubbing dirt/sand out of your road rash. A bit of sweat inside your leathers will also keep you cooler than riding without due to the cooling effect of a bit of breeze over the sweat - with short sleeves or very high windflow, your sweat will evaporate quickly and provide no cooling effect. In Nevada, we had guys stopping while going through the Valley of Fire to put jackets ON in the 108 temps.

Granted - sitting it traffic can be quite brutal.

It depends on what you intend to do with it - I do like mine for what I use it for. It doesn't replace my CBR and if I was going coast to coast, I'd be on a Goldwing, but it is a pretty cool bike.

This has to be the funniest thing I read all week. You don't have to gear on a sport bike, much like some of the guys on non sport bikes The smart guys that ride wear gear.

If im going to ride a bike that will hit 200mph im not going to ride it like your grandma. Otherwise what is the point of owning a sport bike. they are built for one purpose only. Speed, Therfore you need to gear up. Like I said its to hot in Houston for leathers.

Sliding on the pavement at 20 mph or much more is going to fud up your skin regardless if its hot out or not. I would gear up either way, there are weather appropriate options for both hot & cold days.
