Well, it's been two years since I lost my Lab to a sudden illness. I told myself I wasn't going to get a puppy because of my work schedule, but I might be persuaded to allow the "right" grown up dog into my life. Last night I brought home Simon...he's about 4 years old and needed a good home. I think he'll enjoy the 8 acres complete with forest, creek, and pond. Here's some pics while we tested his leash skills.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I knew Andre would be pleased! So far he is doing pretty good. His only issue at this point seems to be some separation anxiety type behavior. He's doing some barking and pacing when alone outside. I can't believe how gentle he is with my boys (age 8 and 4) and how generally well behaved he is.

This is my 6 year old Weimaraner Meadow. First pic she was about 1 before we moved to the lake. She has seaziers and her pills have made her plumpy but we lover her the same. Pic 3 is her in her chair at work. I have bought beds and a bigger chair but she has been in that chair since she was 7 weeks and wont let it go.
