I keep my boat on the north end of Lanier...where it is still "rivers". Not as many of those Mega Marinas that rent slips to people who have more horsepower than common sense, makes for much better skiing. I have a couple of buddies that have boats up there as well. Let me know and we'll take a run. Don't trust that LakePirate guy...James is a UT fan from Georgia, that says it all

I've been close to Lanier and know some folks that go there sometimes. I live in Athens, GA about 55 miles from the nearest ramp, I think. I haven't been there in my boat. Been to Hartwell a bunch and now kind'a make a home at Russell - in Elberton, GA

Lived on Lainer for 12 yrs plus ...
now living in Winter Haven, have and know many many skier's
and barefooters still liv'n on Lanier both on North and South End!
