barefoot 200 prop selection

I'm putting a Merc Optimax 225 on my Barefoot 200. Any suggestions on where to start with a prop? I never ran the Merc 200 that was on there to know how the prop was. My guess is that the prop that was on there won't work well with the extra HP. I don't have it in front of me but I think it was a 19 pitch but don't know the diameter.

"My guess is that the prop that was on there won't work well with the extra HP."

My bet is that you haven't added enough HP to make a 2" increase in pitch worthwhile. The prop shaft speeds on a Verado and 2.4 & 2.5L 200 are very close to the same at WOT, so unless you were pulling 6k+ rpm with your 2 stroke, that prop is most likely a good place to start testing.
