That is the place were the music died. You can take a gravel road out to the site of Buddy Hollys crash . You will have to walk through a corn/soybean field. kind of neat.....for Iowa.

Looks like a nice lake, and talking to the locals, sounds like a fun place to hang out and ski. When I said that I had an MC, they asked if it was like a Malibu...

I've been there, that is the place where the music died. The only "buisness" I can think of in that area is Cargill in Clinton and of course the meth trade. As I understand it just outside of Clinton is an area where a lot of the trains heading east-west and the ones heading north-south intersect so it is a hot spot for the meth trade... well that and hobos.
