brave, but loving every minute of it. The honeymoon isn't over with this boat!

I should clarify, 8 degrees outside, I was in a garage, so maybe 20 in there.

Guys, learn from the lessons in this thread. Spend the time and take up the center floor. You'll see why when you do it.

When you're snaking the new cable back through with the wire, if you get snagged under the gas tank, cut the steering cable free from the guide wire and push it through. I had a problem where the guide wire went one way and the steering cable went around the wiring harness and I was in a deadlock.

I cut the cable free from the guide wire and in 10 seconds, the cable was through to the stern!!!

THANKS GUYS FOR THIS HOWTO!!!!

I was out in the garage cleaning the boat up and went to move the steering wheel and it was stuck I put alittle force on it and it poped free, but now the steering is reall stiff. OHHHHH noooo time for a new cable.Must have got some water in it and it rusted.

Well I did a search on steering cables and found this thread.....
Lots of good info here.
Any more tips to add to make this job easier??
boat is a 2003 x2

Thanks Too-Tall
