Acme #801

Has anyone bought or tried the #801.This is the only 3 blade cnc option for those of us with powerslots. I don't like to experiment so any feed back would be great.I could just buy the four blade #851 but I would like to keep my top end that I have with the factory O.J. 3 blade.

What year is your boat? what engine?

I have a 91 with a powerslot and I have a #275 ACME 4 blade, runs awesome. I did lost 2 MPH top end, I top out at about 43 MPH now, amybe 44. but the power I gained on the low end is awesome!! much smoother and lots of hole shot. nice smooth handling. If you want to try that its a great prop, but you will loose 2 MPH at the top end. Just a question, why is it you desire that top end speed??

I have the standard package 351W with powerslot 85 hull.Would like to get back into footin didn't want to lose anything on the topend. Why didn't you go with the #381.I'm sure the 4 blade would be fine, just wanted to keep all the performance that I could.

I went with the prop that ACME recommended to me. They asked me all my specifics, and thats the prop they said would be best for my boat.

i ordered an 801 prop from Acme for my 85 Skier 19 S&S, but i didn't have powerslot so it wouldn't fit my 1" bore...if you're interested for cheap money at $275 it could be yours, check it out http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skii...ostid=SIA04158

according to Acme Marine, this 801 is the best prop upgrade for the Powerslot, more efficient that the 4blade...
