Don’t. It’s like using sandpaper and should be absolute last resort.

Yep there's a reason they work so well. It's taking a tiny layer off your vinyl

Get a soft bristle brush and some boat babes seat soap. You will be happy with the results, and will get several more years out of your vinyl. It smells great too.

After several decades of cleaning my boat, I can't say enough about boat babes seat soap.
