I could pack for an entire week running solo on the bike set the way it was in the top pic.

Actually I did 4,200 miles in 9 days on that bike.

Yeah, solo with a pack on the seat I'll bet, and probably motels at night. Try that with light camping gear. And let me guess, you did the 4,200 miles with a full face helmet, or 3/4 helmet with a face screen. If neither, then you must be in your twenties.

No Pack on the seat just the saddlebags on the bike.
Yes hotels, why in [email protected]$k would I try light camping gear? I was not aware that for it to be official that in 2015 you needed to sleep outside.

Wink

Then you are tougher than me, speaking for myself and all the riders I know, we haven't been good with wind in our faces since, oh, around our mid thirties, I like the windshield for protection from windburn, bugs, and other road spuz. And, Sorry, I just thought that most long distance riders usually camped out part of the time, my mistake. No need to get all biffed.

I like it, just curious, what's the top speed of that bike? My xc is around 75ish, but my fe501 which is basically a 500exc is right at 100mph. Just wondering if the xcw is that much taller in high gear.

I haven't it long enough to top it out. I think I read it's about 90 mph but I'm not positive.
