I crawled under to have a look at my wiring and the cmd6 head unit has 2 yellow wires both with fuses. They merge together just before a large connector. If i want constant power which/where should i tap?

The boat may have two yellow wires, but I dont recall the CMD6 harness having two. Yellow is constant on the CMD harness. A volt meter will confirm.

Here is a pic. One of them is a slightly larger gauge than the other and they both come from the head unit. Also pictured is where they merge.

None of that is the actual head unit harness but rather the boat side. Go right to the back of the head unit for the actual head unit harness colors.

I must confess to not having much expertise in stereo witing but these wires look like the are originating at the heah unit.

Rather than wire color, look at it from a terminal pin out number. Cant speaker for what mastercraft has done, but clarion only used one yellow MEM/B+ for that head unit. Again, a volt meter will confirm.

You can tag either one in the mastercraft boat side of fuse.
