Yup - This is how it's done For a BTS 2 is all you need, traditional wind screen would probably need 3.

Tower down and no cover. If you ever go used towboat shopping, you can tell exactly what boats have been towed with covers. Always rub marks around ratchet strap areas. Not from the ratchet, but from the tight cover rubbing on gel coat at speed.

Long distance towing

I pull mine long distances (600kms) quite often, with the tarp on. I always drape two thicker blankets over the windshield to cover the glass, I used green painters tape on the hull under the buckle locations and then make sure the tarp is quite tight so it doesnt flap and snug the side straps so they dont flap. I have never had any wear marks on my 10 year old boat, so Im pretty confident in sharing this practice with you. Plus, I always have Rock Tamers mud flaps on... not a grass skirt, and that seems to cut down the road grime.
