8.1 in a 2008 X-star?

Was there a 8.1 option in a 2008 X-Star? I have seen them in 2006 models but not 2008? Was visiting with someone that said he knew of a 2008 for sale with 8.1. It just didn't sound right?

Not saying it was a huge issue. But there's a lot of x stars with new 8.1s

You'll always have owners that feel like they have to defend the performance of their engine - and if it's been working for them, that's totally awesome. Most of us are jealous of the power, but if you do a search on here, for as rare of an option as they were you'll find plenty of examples of people having catastrophic engine failures.
