Reverse red 1994 Prostar 190 w/ Corvette LT-1

The time has come for me to sell my beloved reverse-red 1994 Prostar 190 with the Corvette LT-1.

I have had several inquiries from Teamtalk members over the years, so I’m putting it up here first. I’m asking $14,000. You can find cheaper 1994 Prostars, but you won’t find one that looks like this. I’m in no hurry to sell, and I’ve had a number of offers recently. This is a beautiful boat. It turns heads wherever we go. It is not an exaggeration to say that I’ve had several unsolicited offers on the boat every year. People have offered to buy it from me out on the lake. I hate to sell this boat, but my boys are getting too big, and I finally need an open bow. This is a 23 year old boat. It is not mint condition, but it is in beautiful condition, and most people can’t believe it’s a 1994.

Contact me at [email protected] if you are interested.

Boat is in SW Missouri.

I still think this boat has the best slalom wake ever created. I’ve pulled slalom course beginner kids at 19 mph through skiers at 38 off. It does have some shortline spray when there is a headwind. The boat tops out around 49 mph – so it’s great for pulling footers, too.

Here are the details:
Corvette LT-1 with 1,113 hours. It has the 1:1 transmission. Engine oil is changed at beginning and end of every season, with Mobile 1 synthetic. Transmission oil is changed every season.
In the last couple years, it has had a new water pump, new plugs and wires, new IAC valve. New impeller every season. New fuel filter every season. New thermostats every other season. I replaced the starter a few years ago. This engine runs like a top. It has never failed me once. This engine should go for another 1,000 hours.

Speed control is Perfect Pass StarGazer.

I replaced the shaft bushings with XPC strut bushings a few years ago.

The gelcoat is still a deep, rich red. There are a few nicks here and there, but no major scratches.

Included is a beautiful bimini and the original T-top.

The teak platform still looks great.

It has the two vent heater – works perfectly.

It has a depth finder.

Here’s everything negative that I can think of:
The previous owner beached the boat. A section of the keel beneath the bow has the gel worn down. I’ve meant to fix it for years, but I never did.

The upholstery is not mint, but it is in good shape, especially for 23 years old. There are a few nicks here and there, but no major tears or cuts. I have had the passenger and driver seat bottoms reskinned (in fact, the driver seat is being done right now). The rear seat bottom stitching needs to be redone, but I leave the back bench in the garage, so I haven’t had it done.

The carpet is original. There are no worn spots or tears, but it’s not fluffy and lush like the new carpets.

The tachometer works intermittently, and I haven’t fixed it, because I use the tach on Perfect Pass. The hour meter works fine.

The decals are pretty worn. I would have replaced them this year if I hadn’t bought a new boat.

It is plumbed for the shower. I replaced the pump 10 years ago, but we never use the shower, so I disconnected it. It can be easily reconnected.

Single Axle Trailer:
The wheel bearings were replaced three years ago. New tires two years ago. New bow roller last year. There is a crack in the fiberglass on the left fender. The brake master cylinder leaks, and it needs to be replaced.

You say it has the BEST slalom wake of any boat. From THAT picture, it appears there's NO wake!

That is the best looking interior and gelcoat color I have seen on a 94. Better than black and white even.

Yup. We're the ones who are often at the slalom course around the bend from Bridgeport.
