New owner of a 2007 X45

We sold our 97 205 and 07 Centurion to consolidate to a bigger boat. Ended up with a 2007 X45 on a new trailer with LY6.

Looking for owners setup for surf, we surfed stock on Sunday while testing but feels it needs more bow weight? this is a non electric or gen 1 boat.....anyone use wake gate attachments on this boat?

Picture of the boat...

Nice, you will really enjoy the 45. Coming from a 2006 and into a 2010 x45 they are good surf boats. They are BIG however and need some serious weight.

Search around, tons of commentary. Teak platform is the best due to the lip on the fiberglass. I run #1100 fatsacs in the rear port locker (easy DIY piggy back from factory ballast), 400 fatsac in the cooler space and 400 fatsac under the front port bow seat (also easy DIY piggy back from KGB). That's to surf regular obviously. Passengers to that side.

The one thing I didn't like was having to list the boat and inability to have a goofy surfer. I am in the process of installing the Go Surf Assist which from what I understand will make the x45 a super star along the lines of many of the new surf boats. I doubt the 07 would have the Gen1 tabs but they are worthless for surfing and probably hamper more than help.

Again, many articles here to research. Here are a few that I've commented on.

I have a 08 45. I'm running go surf assist with 1100 in tears and 400 under each seat. I have some lead for the front. Here is old picture wave is way more dialed in now.

Belive it or not, a suck gate will work wonders with some added weight.

Thank you! Looking forward to dialing the boat in and will post results. We have some lead we can put under fron seats and will piggy back the system too.

Do the 2007 have timers I keep reading about?

I agree, my friend equally weights his X45 with 750# in the rear lockers and uses the suck gate. The gate actually really helps!

suck gate worked on my 08 x30 pretty well but just upgraded to Go Surf Assist as well. I like not having to list the boat.
