I had an intruder last night!!!

What a scary night. Arrived home late after a week in Houston, TX for work. All I wanted was a good night sleep before work this morning. Went to bed at 10 pm. 3:30 am I was awoke by by bedroom light being turned on. There was a drunk guy in my house? He was banged up and bleeding, like he was in a bar fight... I was able to get him out and call the police. They came, took my statement, took samples of the blood on my kitchen floor and counter. After about a 1/2 hour the found him hiding in the woods nearby. I did not want to press charges.

I did not get any sleep after that...

This morning I look out my window and see this.... Nobody knew about this until daylight. He must have been going at least 75mph. Ran the stop sign, in to my neighbors yard and on to the lake. Now, our elevation is about 40 feet above the water. There is at least 60 feet of open water to the edge of the ice. The only way we figure he survived is that he was ejected before this long jump.

By the way, it was my first time in Texas. I was in The Woodlands. Beautiful area!

Lucky to have survived the wreck. Not so sure he would have survived being in my house!
