XT-23 UpClose review

My dealer called me today when the first batch of 2017's showed up.
Having own 2 recent X30 models I really wanted to see what the changes were in the new "XT" series
The general look of the boat is very similar to the old X30 and the layout is nearly the same

Side-by-side you can definitely tell the difference of the exterior lines in the Hull.

When you climb in the boat you can tell something is different from the old model to the new.
They definitely have "D blinged " this model.
But some of these changes, are in the regular X series as well

Here is what I don't like -
- they added more stock hard tank, at the compromise of the massive rear locker storage. You can no longer fit a wakeboard or surfboard in those back lockers as the hard tank gets in the way. This also means you can no longer fit a 650750 bag in that locker.
- The Bow of the X30, unlike the X 10 had to had 2 storage areas in the nose, One of them was behind the seat back with dedicated Anchore storage. With a built-in cooler underneath the seat base. there is no longer a removable seat back, only an anchor storage underneath the seat. Definitely a loss. XT23 is more like X10 in the bow
- slightly lesser detailed cushions, and stitching versus the X30
Things that are nicer include
- A close cooled Motor with flush kit (non SS)
- cooler and trashcan have separate access, no need for everyone to get up just to throw a Can away
- dual battery set up is in the rear next to the switch where it belongs versus underneath the observer see taking up room
- captains chair bolster does not fall down when you sit in it as in previous years

For the most part this boat will largely feel like an X30.

For those of you that already own a new X30, you are in good hands I would not be in a hurry to move to this model, especially if storage is a big deal.

So it sounds like what most of us expected. A decontent X-30 with a few more pounds of hard tank.

Going from an X-30 to this seems like a lateral move to me.

Unless the surf wave just blows you away

You gonna demo it larry?

So I guess some of us were right from the get go saying this was not an X 30 replacement and is not a top of the line MC.

The words in the video release were correctly interpreted.
