It will be hard to beat the current prostar ! It is amazing. I love mine. I have about 65 hours on it so far and it has been great. Only change I would like to see is an accessible cooler with the carpet in place. You have peel up the edges right now. I bet they sell quite a few of them , we skiers mainly stick to our backyard ponds to avoid the surf monsters !!

The next design change will probably just follow MC's natural progression of their design language. As in once it's too different from the rest of the line up, it'll get a refresh.

I feel sad about only 65.i have a lake in my backyard. Likely finish off the year with just over 100 now that my kids finally started skiing . It has pulled two tournaments and will pull another one in two weeks. That will add about 5 hours. I do ski in them at least !

Just rolled over a 100hrs on Sunday. I hate doing an oil change in August but the good thing it shows is we had some awesome times on the boat this season.

I love the new prostar personally. I currently have an 04 X7/197 and would really like to upgrade but I do not love the price tag

I also love the new prostar. It took me awhile to get use to the mini pickle fork but, it's since grown on me. I have a 197 and although I like it, I feel that the open bow is wasted space. I mean closed bow I have much, much more storage under the deck. My 197 bow is useless. Can't put a lot of weight up there at all. Not to mention it's constantly wet from the nose dunking. I'd much rather a closed bow to allow the water to run off and not go in the boat. My 197 nose is under water 10 times as much as my 86,87,& 89 was.

All this said when the right 15-17 prostar comes along I'm all over it. Hint, fourforty's neighbor.

I'd go out on a limb and say the new Prostar has seen a boost over the 197. It's a niche market, but a dedicated one
I think your yearly sales figure on the 200 is a bit off..... it's more like- less than 100 per year. I got the same answer at the factory, as I did from the regional sales rep. AFAIK, MC is selling a similar amount of prostars.

Haha, I told him about this. He said, "I had the last one for 10 years. It will be a while. But I'll keep it in mind!"
