So, I need some help here. I dont know who it was but who ever owned my boat before the guy I bought it from did something REALLY STUPID!!! From what i can tell he sanded down the stars and and took a rattle can from wal mart and painted the stripe surrounding the stars. The reason I know this is because in the sun you can see the stars and feel them with your fingers. Also he did not clear over the top of what he painted. I was able to use soap and water with some scotch brite to remove all the grey pant on the bow of the boat by hand. I need to know what I SHOULD use on the rest of the boat and what I should do to replace the decals so they look Factory.

I have spent about three hours today removing just about ten feet of paint and still have the rest of the boat to go. I want to get the file from the guy selling it on ebay.

Great Job!

He NEVER used it! He kept it in the garage, polished it daily. Heck his whole family polished it. He even had other members polish it. Then he shows up at reunions, and supervises while others polish his boat. All that running gear....he sent it out to have it polihsed.

He had 2 motors for that boat. One that was polished and one in a vacuum sealed crate w/ polished heads.

All that damn polishing and he is not even polish

Wait a minute TRICKSKI....his screen name sorta ends in SKI maybe hr is a
little polish

As always Rick...see was a beauty. Always loved seeing that boat and how much FAMLIY effort went into keeping that boat pristine

Heard you called the other day. Talk to you soon
