Bought mine from Canada...eh? Nothing wrong with it. They use more sand and gravel rather than the salt and brine in Ohio.

Damn son I can't believe you were towing in that tacoma with that load and no e brake on the trailer. Sketch. Glad you are going to use your dad's truck moving forward. Too bad you didn't keep that other 250, that truck was really nice.

You might also want to check out half tons. I mean if it's something you are looking at keeping for a long time,,,, you could do 8,000 lbs "relatively" comfortably in the F150 with a factory e brake and ecoboost, not saying I would want to tow near that much weight all the time but if you only have to tow once every couple weeks it might be a more economical truck.

The 250 is just a huge truck to used as a work daily commuter for your office job, plus it requires more attention. Of course they are a lot of fun to mod. But now that I think of it, if you are towing your project cars around a lot, especially with that trailer, the 250 is going to be drastically more comfortable. Sometimes I wish I had a 3/4 ton just to tow the 197...

Smart

My tahoe's undercarriage is a rust bucket bc it was a Vermont truck for 4 years after I bought it. Totally not ideal to purchase one of those trucks, totally unavoidable if you live up there unless you are religious with your yearly oil baths.

I wonít own another modded diesel out of warranty. Next one will be new or CPO for sure. After the 8 or so half tons Iíve had, I know I wonít be owning another. Just not as stable as I like for long distance boat towing, need it for gooseneck towing for when Iíll be going to auctions and stuff. If itís a 250, Iíll keep it until the warranty expires for sure.

If I got a trailer brake controller, towing the flatbed wouldnít be a big deal at all.

Ya I can see that, the 3/4 ton is a huge difference in stability and I really do love it. See the thing for me is I drive for work, I'm always schlepping in north dallas traffic. Since I'm doing that more than towing the boat, I go half ton and I think that's the right move for me. It's the tahoe now but will be the 4 door in 2-3 more years.

Good luck on your searches for the 250.

Probably 6 months out on that at this point. I only commute about 15 miles a day total, so itís not a huge deal
