If i had to guess id say its an old sold core boom its from the 80s....

Also waterlogged im almost ready to put my new gauges back in if i remember correctly you wanted me to send ya the old ones....

Got my dash panels back from powder coating along with the eyes/U-bolts for rear transom..

FOOTCLAN: did you ever find the black plastic dashboard bezel? (the thing you called a football?). I have an 85 S&S and mine has a crack too; was thinking about 3D printing as you had mentioned earlier in this thread. I didn't see if you'd found a solution or a used part somewhere? For a 3D printer, I believe you need some sort of "file design" (.stl format...whatever that means).

it was just way to expensive to have a 3d printer make only 1, qouted me thousands of dollars to make one lol..

Could not find that piece used ANYWHERE.. So i took mine to local body shop and had then use hot staples and epoxey then prime n paint for me.. Looks pretty good only cost me 150 bucks

yeah; that does look pretty nice. Mine isn't nearly as bad as yours was; I think I can patch with JB Weld and paint. Thanks for the prompt reply

Consider Marinetex...no particular reason other than is is a nice product to work with. Hardens (cures) very well and sands easily.

JB Weld should be outlawed.
