Good deal?

Hi everyone first time poster. Looking at a 2005 Mastercraft X10.
I checked the nada guides and it seems to be on par with what nada is saying.
Was wondering if I could get someone else’s opinion on if they think this is a reasonable deal.
Linked the add below
Going to check it out tomorrow

Thanks

Solid price. Not a steal ,not over priced. As long as it’s clean and checks out should be a solid buy .

I personally think you could find a better deal for the money. One of my favorite hobbies is buying and selling things on Craigslist I could help you find one if you’d like.

Red face

Thanks for the input so far.

I’ve been scowering the net looking all over the country for a good deal. Picked the wrong time of year to look for a boat I guess. Cuz there’s nothing out there right now.

We'll see if he’ll budge on the price.

So the boat is a great boat ... they didn't make a lot of them but they are nice and you will enjoy it

That also means there will not be a lot of them around so its hard to see just how many are out there

The next iteration of this boat was the X15 which will be another ~$10k

If it checks out, good maintenance, and you like it throw them an offer

Good luck ... tell us how it goes

How's the interior? Couldn't really tell by the pictures but it looked like the seams were splitting. If so run. An interior for that boat would be about $12K. If not like others have stated it's no steal but it is a very fair price.

For comparison, I paid 24K for an 03 Maristar 230/X-30 a couple of years ago. Bought it on consignment from a MC dealer, felt I got a decent deal on it. My interior is kinda rough, and it had about 800 hours, but it was what I was looking for in terms of model and features and in my budget.

You're right on being the wrong time of year, but if you can check out the boat in person and maybe lake test it, you could offer 25-26 and see what happens. My boat had been sitting at the dealer for about 6 months (I'd been keeping an eye on it), and I think that may have really helped my offer. Any idea how long this one has been on the market?

Not sure exactly what you're looking for, but found an 03 X-30 in Ventura for a slightly lower price. Looks fairly clean. LINK Since it's an older boat, might be able to talk them down a bit. Add says 'Sale Pending', but could be worth keeping an eye on- buyer might have their financing fall through or whatever.

And since I was looking anyway:
2000 VRS 230- 20.5K
1999 VRS 230- 24K
X-45 for 30K Add has no info in it, and price seems pretty low, but might be worth the phone call.
2005 X-30- 30K

Don't know if you're firm on an X-10, but you've got options if you're willing to consider other models. For what it's worth, I drove 1000 miles round trip to pick up my MC. Had a great road trip with #1 son, and made a few memories. Good luck with your search.

Interior for that boat would be 12k? On what planet?

It looks like it still has factory instruments. Make sure everything works right or plan to replace the digital system at some point down the road.
