Anybody heard of Phoenix Boat Trailers? Buddy is looking at one for his X-2.

I had Mat from MasterCraft Chicago help me with a Phoenix Trailer for our 190. Mat KILLED it with customer service!

We had just a couple of hiccups, but Phoenix hung in there and made it right - they had good follow through. We have been happy with it for a few years now.

Why there made right here in the great state of Michigan CP. Actually in a little ****hole town named east jordan. They are a good but not fabulous trailer. Quality is better than my 04 MC trailer however. MC trailers from the mid 2000's suck.

I got one new with our 214 in 09. I seen a similar 214 side by side with ours using MasterCraft trailer. I thought our boat actually fit better on the Phoenix Trailer. We had some paint issue's, the trailer had to be sent back to be repainted. We replaced the bunks this year, mostly due to the cheap carpeting they used. I would give them a B for quality.

Thanks for the feed back. My buddies cross braces on his 07 tandem have failed. He is looking at new trailers and Phoenix prices are competitive. I suggested an Eagle but they have been priced about 35% higher. I agree that is a little high and at our club we don't trailer anywhere other than down to the water and back which is about 300 yards each way.

Sad to see '07 trailers failing. Any salt use? The fact that my '08 came with a 2015 Boatmate was worth a few $K to me in my deal

We compared with Boatmate since they are built here in TN. We got the Phoenix with the "MasterCraft" package (optioned out) for the price of a base Boatmate. Considering our needs the Phoenix was the way to go. We've trailered so far up to about 150 miles each way.

Nope, no salt use. Apparently the MC trailer was not built specifically for his X-2, but was modified to fit it. As a result one of the cross-members is right where his drain plug is located so it gets dripped on every time the boat is pulled/moved or anytime water comes out the center plug.

I had three quotes recently. Eagle, Phoenix and Boatmate, and Phoenix and BM were comparable in cost but Boat House Marine was able to get me a less fancy Eagle for less money. I did not purchase any of them.
