Problems with volume control due to moisture in transom remote
Anyone had problems with problems with controlling your stereo features such as sound from your big screen or other due to moisture in the transom remote. Any suggestions on how to resolve the issue?

yes, when my transom remote went out, it caused the head unit to ignore some of the button pushing to control volume, and input. Just unplug the remote either at the remote or at the head unit. You having the big, I assume its the same type of issue.

Yes, 2012 X25 with same scenario as other post. Random BIG buttons slow to respond one day, the following day the BIG would not cycle through screens. In middle of lake with the radio volume very loud and unable to adjust, zero off inoperable, etc. Call to dealer on Sat. afternoon and glad someone answered. They knew the cause instantly and walked me through disconnecting cable from transom remote from behind rear access panel. Interestingly, the transom remote doesn't appear water logged. No fogging and previously worked great. One more thing for the fall punch out list.

Buddy's x2 had same issue with the rectangular Clarion remote ....... Once it got a little wet it shorted out and caused problems while connected ...... Just did a warranty replacement, life is good again.

Had the same issue twice with 2010 X2, had a good look the third time and the surface the remote mounts to is not completely flat. Every time I tighened the remote down it bent like a banana and leaked. A simple stainless washer under one end and problem fixed for good. Don't even notice it proud of the transom. Check it out you will be surprised.

^^^^Great observation and idea. A fine bead of white silicon would hide that small gap from collecting water marks.
