Ok. So I am 99% convinced to go with the XT22. Another question...the 5.3L? Enough for the xt22, or will it really need the Ilmor 6000?

The GDI is a great engine in the xt22...the standard 5500 is good only in the xt21

If you have the funds to put the 6000 in it, do it! After demoing the x23 and xt22 back to back The boats feel the same size. The 23 is 5 inches longer and 600lbs heavier. Thatís minimal and could be a couple large friends in the boat. Not many would get the 5.7 or 5.3 in the x23 so why would you in the xt22? At least thatís the way I look at it.

I was on the fence between the x23 and xt22 for a long time and really thought all this stuff out. I actually had a xt22 with the 6000 on order and switched last minute.

Which GDI are you referring to?
The 5500GDI (5.3L) or the 6000GDI (6.2L) ?
The standard engine in this boat is the 5500 MPI (5.7L).

The standard is the 5000 or the 5.7

Next up is the 5500 or 5.3

Then 6000 or 6.2

Then 7000 or 7.4

I can not speak on the XT22 but the XStar will surf good. It will require a grip of weight. Of course there are only 4 of us onboard and the girls don't add up to much weight. Lol
