Surf Setup for X26

Hello, couldn't really find anything in the forums on the X26.

We have an X26 and are having difficulties getting enough pull for adults. Our X26 has the extra bags. Additionally, we have 2 bags (400lbs and 1100lbs) available. We've tried various setups. Ideally, we'd like to have a setup for only 2 people on board (driver and watcher).

Regular surf:
Ballast 100-100-100, Tabs 0-30-70, 400lbs bag portside back, 2 men + 2 women seated on port side back to front. This wave was actually pretty good, but we've had difficulties replicating it only with the bags.

Goofy:
Ballast 100-100-100, Tabs 80-20-0, 400lbs bag starboard side back, 2 men + 2 women seated on starboard side back to front. This wave wasn't that good and didn't give the surfer enough pull.

Does anyone have any setups you've tried and that have worked great with the X26?

have you played with the tab settings much? I have lots of experience in an X23, limited in the X26...but both of those we reduced the surf tab setting i.e going to 40-60% surf tab depending on how many people in the boat.

I don't remember the exact setting when we were in the X26, but it made a super clean and long wave with stock ballast, which was okay, not great... but we added an 1,100 pound bag on the middle of the floor the wave got pretty big and very nice.

I have also found with my own boat (X30) that is does not like to list very much. Keep the boat level, or maybe just slightly listed to the surf side, but not too much.

X26 is the best stock surf boat I've ever ridden

Personally, I use the factory setting, I have juste 200kg of lead at the rear of the boat, behind the engine.

The wave is nice, with enough push, even with juste the driver on board.

The X26 does extremely well with passengers sitting in the rear facing seats on the transom with the factory settings. For people that often don't have people to sit in these seats, I recommend putting 2-300lbs of lead bags in the rear storage compartment under the ballast bags. It will reduce the capacity of the bags slightly but the lead weighs much more than the ballast capacity lost. When adding this weight, I prefer the steep tab and ballast settings with just an increase to speed. It will maintain a very good wave shape and give it a good bit more length and clean it up a little.
